An examination was set and assessed by others who were qualified to
amine-such as the members of the Harbour Department, Hong Kong.
is expected that the Board of Trade will accept this certificate
gained in Camp.
Lectures and classes were held whenever and
wherever possible and were well attended.
Blackout and rollcall
restrictions in the early part of 1945 made the work very difficult,
but the matter was in some way solved by the introduction of lectures
and talks in the different blocks, on stairways and in private room8.
The number enrolled under the Committee's
Adult Education Scheme was 1,296, the Camp population being 2,500.
